What has any of this got to do with democracy? It is just a load of brain washed idiots playing into Tory fascist hands. The Eton boys are laughing at you stupid plebs.

you really have no idea what a fascist is, do you?

Well we still have a Tory Government and we will not get Brexit only a capitialist boys club version of it, people need to do more than just fucking vote for any meaningful change to happen

Greta Thunberg so agree; what a misguided young woman. You are so right.

I wonder, was the death of democracy covered? How about how easy it has become for right wing billionaires to convince the masses to vote for parties that make it easier for those billionaires to dodge their tax obligations?

Did they talk about the huge problems in inequality brought about by years of weak pro-corporate governments? The decimation of workers rights maybe?

Or was it just right wing conspiracies about climate change denial and one world governments?

“how easy it has become for right wing billionaires to convince the masses to vote for parties … ” – Yes. We are all easy led, thick as shite and would be better off voting for who you say. Now tell us. Who?

The moving of environmentalism to the fore seems to be the last trump card being played. ‘Climate change’ is now one of the elite’s few ‘truths’ that remain pretty much unquestionable.
I think the science (or lack of) behind the global warming meme is now, finally, due to be questioned.

In their desperation to assert authority they are in coven with the climate cult. The time for debate has passed. We must shut up and do as we are told. We are all doomed, unless we cut our consumption to the bone.

Meanwhile, there are other, and more pressing emergencies to be dealt with. So planes land at Heathrow full of expensive chocolate and phones to satisfy their cravings and impress their friends. They do not believe a bar of what they say.

I agree with pretty much everything in this podcast, but not the issue of population and its impact on the environment. I don’t think it is racist to say to Africans “have less babies to protect biodiversity in Africa”. What I think gets lost in these green debates is that environmentalists know that the human population will be looked after without too much trouble all the way up to 15bn and beyond. But, it is the impact on the rest of the planet’s living creatures that is the problem.

I know a commentator here made the point that in advanced western democracies efforts to reintroduce species have met with some success, but only after these species have become locally extinct.

We really do need to reduce population footprint (ie population x consumption) if we are going to continue to see large animals in the wild.

Brexit was just the first battle against centralisation of powers into international bodies and further away from ordinary people. The ideological battle was won in the referendum and in the last General Election where Remoaners were reduced to the political equivalent of a twitching corpse.

Looking forward there is an even bigger front opening up in the battle for democracy: the creeping climate dictatorship. What is called “global governance” which is just another power grab from the centre, i.e. an attempt to vest yet more powers in international bodies remote from the people and harder for people to change. The real giveaway is when you hear statements like those from the Guardian yesterday that claim “climate science dictates..”. The key word is “dictates”. Science has displaced religion as the form of authority required to shut down and silence opposition. It is easy to forget that science corrupted by politics is nothing new. in times gone by racism and eugenics was justified on “scientific” grounds, such as the bogus science of phrenology.

In the 1980s it was Live Aid that moved young people. That was driven by a real emergency and the horror of people dying in front of us on TV screens. Now future deaths based on dubious climate predictions are called an “emergency” that demand “immediate action”. This “emergency” has perversely displaced concern for poverty on the international agenda. Isn’t lack of basics like clean water a moral imperative? At the same time they exaggerate dangers, climate pagans have no solutions at all. Greta calls out the Australian government over bush fires. There are no constructive suggestions, just the bogus implication that the fires are the wages of sin for previous in action on CO2.

Brexit was dismissed as delusional fantasy. But climate pagans who are now so establishment they are flattered by the Queen have no constructive suggestions to feed 8 billion people without the benefits of fossil fuels. Maybe the lack of priority for poverty is no accident.

A constructive answer would be more research on practical and safe nuclear engineering.
No, it’s not impossible.
Even a thermo-electric prometheum-powered car is quite feasible.
And the prometheum could be recycled.

In the meantime we could dam the Pentland Firth and supply all of The UK’s electricity and heating, trains and trams. And export the rest.
I’m not against nuclear energy.

I agree wholeheartedly. If it weren’t for Brexit consuming us for over three years .. because the losers refused to concede defeat! ..the climate scam has had three years advantage to spew its propaganda with no serious challenge. Virtually all strong weather is now blamed on AGW. AGW is now also conflated with plastics pollution which of course is non scientific garbage!
Just as with Brexit we have to battle the media yet again.. not the science of course as that is on our side already!

The unsung hero in 2019 Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party. The Brexit Party rose up earlier this year running the raison d’etre of Trust in Politics, respecting the Referendum and delivering a meaningful Brexit. At 6 weeks old, they won a national election; the European Elections and shifted the whole centre of gravity of the Brexit debate. This lead to the demise of TM, the rise of BJ to PM and Dominic Cummings adopting the winning policies of Nigel Farage’s Brexit Party.
BJ, the Tory Party, believers in Democracy, Brexit supporters all owe a profound debt of gratitude to Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party.
And yet in the podcast hardly a mention of NF & the BP – but plenty of yacker about the anti-democrat Soubry. Come on Spiked – credit where credit’s due.

Yes we struck back, bigger and harder than ever before. But we struck hard in 2016, all 17.4 million of us and look how it is turning out for us after three long years.. we are still in the EU !
The EU love letter saying we are always welcome back is pure calculated propaganda as we haven’t yet left, make no mistake they haven’t given up and they never will as our total departure from the EU would undoubtedly spell the end of the EU they well know that.
BJ can do pretty well as he pleases such is his mandate, and we do know he was a remainer, and may still be , we simply don’t know who he is yet.
We need a public enquiry as to how the referendum was allowed to be thwarted by so few in power. We need new checks and balance put into place so the likes of imbecilic prats like Bercow cannot thwart a PM , we need to get rid of the ECJ that allowed eleven judges unanimously to thwart our PM, we need to understand how it could possibly arise that a PM acting on behalf of the public could ever be threatened with jail.. who has ever heard that before ?
We have had nearly four years of what seems to be total anarchy hysteria and desperation by the remain elite. We need to abolish all the mechanisms that have allowed it. For we can be sure they haven’t given up yet. Unless we put these people and institutions back in the box from which they emerged the battle will continue. Does anyone think that the likes of Blair and Heseltine saying the battle is over actually believe them?
Does anyone that watched BON destroy YAB on Sky think she has for one minute given up, a woman who saw fit to bang her head on a wall in a shop the day after the GE because BJ is PM ? These are rabid unhinged people now ( not that they weren’t before ), and they will be regrouping.

“The EU love letter saying we are always welcome back is pure calculated propaganda”

It is more of a needy and clingy response of a controlling partner who just got dumped.
