Thank you to everyone who has donated to spiked’s Christmas appeal so far. The response has been overwhelming, and it really means a lot to the team. Not least because, as I wrote on the site last week, spiked is increasingly funded by our readers – by you and your generous donations.

A strange thing has happened in recent years. spiked has gone from strength to strength. We’re reaching more people than ever before, but even as our readership has soared, our ad revenue has gone down – as more and more agencies give in to illiberal activists and blacklist dissenting voices like ours.

This is why, next year, we want to vastly grow our donor base, so that we can continue to grow as a magazine, while also fortifying ourselves against the censorious culture we find ourselves in. Your donations are more important than ever. Your generosity is what keeps us fearless, independent and free.

Remaining free for all to read is really important to us. We want to make sure that anyone, anywhere, can read our journalism – to hear the pro-freedom, pro-reason side of the argument in these increasingly deranged times. So, if you read spiked, if you listen to our podcasts, if you like what we do, please do consider making a donation this Christmas.

We’ve even got a special offer on at the moment. Those who give £30 or more over the Christmas and New Year period will receive a whole year’s membership to spiked supporters – our online donor community, where you can access our comments section, exclusive events, and much more.

You can donate now here. Thank you so much for your support.
