On Saturday 13 September, an estimated 150,000 people took to the streets of London for the Unite the Kingdom march.
Billed as a protest for free speech and British patriotism, and against runaway migration, it has been cast in sections of the media as ‘racist’ and ‘far right’, with attention focussing on the march’s organiser, former EDL leader Tommy Robinson, and his invited speakers.
But what of those attending? Who are they, what do they want, and do they fit this extremist portrayal? spiked went down there to find out.
