Wind and solar are the future, we’re told. The pursuit of so-called renewable energy has become the defining mission of many Western governments, who say we’re just one more heave away from a clean and sustainable future – powered by cheap and plentiful ‘green’ electricity. There’s just one problem with this narrative. It’s completely untrue. Here, Fraser Myers explains why renewables are not the answer to our energy needs. Indeed, unless we change course, they will spell a colder, poorer future for us all.
