Supporter Terms

1. Account registration

If you register with spiked to access supporter-only or unlimited content, you agree to keep your username and password confidential and not share these details with any third party. You also agree not to register multiple accounts. You further agree not to reproduce, distribute or share any supporter-only or paywalled content (including text, video or audio) with anyone who does not have supporter access, except by using the sharing tools we provide (for example, limited free links or social shares where available). We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, or if we reasonably believe your account is being used in an illegal, fraudulent or abusive manner. In addition to these terms, you may also be subject to any specific offer terms provided at the time you join or renew your supporter account.

2. Becoming a supporter

To become a spiked supporter, please visit www.spiked-online.com/supporters. You must be 18 years or older and legally able to enter into a contract under the laws of your country of residence. By registering as a supporter, you confirm that all registration and payment information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.

3. What does it cost?

Details of current supporter options and pricing are available at www.spiked-online.com/supporters. Supporter subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel as described below. Any change to your subscription price will take effect at your next renewal, and we will notify you beforehand. We reserve the right to introduce new paid products or change the structure of existing supporter tiers. If additional benefits or discounts are introduced for new supporters, we are under no obligation to provide identical benefits to existing supporters. Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider; spiked does not store your card details.

4. Access and benefits

Supporters receive: – Unlimited access to spiked’s online content – An ad-free reading experience – Bonus content and supporter-only events – Early-bird and discounted tickets for live events – Access to comments and bookmarking features. Benefits are personal to each supporter and may not be transferred. We may vary or withdraw specific benefits at any time. Access to the comments section is subject to our moderation rules, and we may remove comments or restrict access where necessary to maintain a respectful discussion. We will notify supporters when their subscription term is due for renewal. While we aim to provide continuous access, we cannot guarantee that the site will always be available or error-free. We may apply reasonable limits to prevent misuse and protect the service.

5. Devices and technical requirements

You can access your spiked supporter account on any standard internet-connected device, including modern browsers on desktop, tablet or mobile (iOS12 / Android 9 or later recommended).

6. Payments and defaults

If a payment fails or you default on any subscription charge, we may suspend or terminate your supporter account, charge for any outstanding balance due for the remainder of the agreed term, and/or take reasonable steps to recover any losses. If your account is terminated and you wish to rejoin, we may require full payment of any outstanding balance before reactivation.

7. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your supporter subscription within 14 days of joining for any reason and receive a full refund. Your access to supporter benefits will stop immediately upon cancellation. To cancel before your next renewal, please email [email protected] from your registered email address at least three working days before your billing date. Requests received later may not prevent the next renewal charge. After the 14-day period, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are offered for mid-term cancellations.

8. Changes to terms

We may amend these terms at any time to ensure compliance with law or to improve the supporter experience. Any significant changes will be communicated to you by email or via the spiked website.

9. Legal terms

Your supporter subscription is governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except where you reside in Scotland or Ireland, in which case the respective national courts and laws will apply.

10. Fraud prevention

We may verify supporter details against fraud-prevention databases when processing payments or event applications. If we decline your application, any payment made will be refunded in full.

User Generated Content

Supporters of spiked may be given an opportunity to interact with us and submit, post and/or upload content such as comments. In posting your content, you confirm to us that you are the owner or have consent from the owner to post the content and that the content does not defame any person, company or business or violate the privacy rights, copyright and other intellectual property rights, contract rights or any other rights of any person.

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, perpetual, royalty free worldwide licence to use any of the content that you post on or in connection with our services and you also irrevocably waive the benefit of any moral rights you may have in any such material. We do not claim any ownership rights in your content and you continue to retain all ownership rights in your content.

We do not endorse any user generated content nor do we guarantee the accuracy or authority of any user generated content. We reserve the right to remove your content and to remove, suspend or discontinue your opportunity to submit, post and/or upload content, at any time and for any reason at our sole discretion and without further recourse to you.

We will always aim to provide you with the best service we can, but our service is provided “as is” and we do not and cannot promise that all of the information provided in our services will always be 100% accurate. If you are dissatisfied with any spiked material or with any of these Terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using spiked.

spiked shall not be liable for any claims, losses, injuries, penalties, damages, costs or expenses arising from the use of, or inability to use the Website or Content or from any action taken, or omitted to be taken, as a result of using the Website or Content, other than death or personal injury resulting from the use of the Website directly caused by the negligence of spiked.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold spiked and any of its officers, employees and agents harmless from and against all and any expenses, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses of any character incurred or suffered and any claims or legal proceedings which are brought or threatened, in each case arising from your use of, or conduct on, the Website and/or a breach of any of these Terms.
