The Battle of Ideas festival is always an intellectual highlight of the year. Held at Church House in Westminster, and organised by the Academy of Ideas, it brings together hundreds of speakers for dozens of discussions over a weekend – and all with plenty of audience questions and participation.

The spiked podcast will have three brilliant guests this year, with Andrew Doyle, Allison Pearson and Esther Krakue joining me and Fraser Myers at 12.15pm on the Saturday.
As for Last Orders, our nanny-state podcast co-hosted by myself and Chris Snowdon, we’ll be chewing the fat with Patrick Christys and Dominic Frisby on the Sunday at 3.45pm.
