Take books. There are just loads of them. Really. According to data research company Bowker, in 2005 there were 205,000 new titles published in the UK, even surpassing the 172,000 new books published in the US. Just to keep up with the new books, then, means you could only allow two-and-a-half minutes per book, even if you gave up on eating and sleeping and worked 24/7 every day.
