1. THE FIRST ‘PLINTHIAN’

Members of the British public are being put on a pedestal for one hour each as part of sculptor Antony Gormley’s One and Other art project. The first ‘plinthian’ stepped on to Trafalgar Square’s empty fourth plinth in London this morning. She will be followed by 2,399 others over the next 100 days.
