Anti-sectarian legislation in Scotland has led to football fans being arrested and jailed for singing songs, unfurling banners and chanting slogans at football matches. Yet, since coming into effect in 2012, the deeply draconian Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Act has barely hit headlines, while civil-liberties groups have been nowhere to be seen while football fans have been subject to fierce clampdowns at the hands of the police.
